Los Angeles, CA – On December 10, 2018 KAC will facilitate and host a Grassroots Community Meeting regarding the Vote Center Placement Project (VCPP), in association with the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC). This meeting will educate our community regarding Los Angeles County’s transition from traditional polling places to vote centers in 2020. This new model will allow voters to cast a ballot at any vote center location in the County over an 11-day period.
The Vote Center Placement Project's core mission is to identify and place accessible and convenient vote center locations throughout Los Angeles County. VCPP emphasized that by using community outreach methods the county will analyze voter preferences that directly represent the needs of each community. During this grassroots community meeting, KAC will be dedicated to receiving our community member’s valued input as to where they would like a vote center to be placed. KAC is excited to partner with L.A County and is honored to represent the voting needs and preferences of the Korean American community. Our meeting is at South Baylo University on December 10, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 PM. Snacks, beverages, and small gifts will be provided. Comments are closed.
