Throughout the month of May, KAC held voter registration drives all around Koreatown in an effort to engage more Korean Americans. By setting up booths at Young Nak church, MAGA church, Koreatown Galleria, and Identity LA, KAC was able to register more than 80 Korean Americans, who are now able to advocate for what they believe in through voting. KAC would like to thank our Model United Nations students, 3.1 Women's Association, 3.1 U.S.A., Koreatown Senior & Community Center, Korean American Registered Voters Association, Korean American Federation North Los Angeles (KAFNLA), and all of our volunteers for their invaluable work and time.
On May 1, 2017, Korean American Coalition (KAC), 3.1 Women’s Association, 3.1 U.S.A., KOWIN-LA, Koreatown Senior & Community Center, Korean American Registered Voters Association, and Korean American Federation North Los Angeles (KAFNLA) held a press conference to encourage the Korean community to participate in the L.A City election and the Congressional District 34 election.
