Why contribute to KAC?
Non-Profit of the Year: In 2017, KAC was recognized as a Non-Profit of the Year honoree. Which makes KAC the first Korean American organization to receive this honor in the state of California.
Airbnb Advocacy: KAC intervened in the Airbnb discrimination dispute between a host and a Korean American guest, leading to a formal apology by the Airbnb host.
34th Congressional District Special Election Error: KAC held the County of Los Angeles accountable for mistakes made only on the Korean language sample ballots in the 34th Congressional district election. Following KAC's action, LA County provided for public record that 777 voters could have been impacted and worked to offer additional remedies for impacted voters.
Section 8 Assistance: In 7 days, KAC helped 328 low-income community members apply to get on the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) Section 8 Wait List and received over 442 calls and in-person requests for assistance from the community. HACLA shares KAC's story.
Together we can make a difference and inspire our community.
