KAC is happy to be partnering with the 33rd Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival to present "Wet Sand: Voices from LA," by Dai Sil Kim-Gibson, which will be playing at 2:00pm on April 29 at Tateuchi Democracy Forum (111 N. Central Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90012). The 33rd LAAPFF will be presented April 27 through May 4, 2017 at the Aratani Theatre at the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center; Directors Guild of America; Downtown Independent; Tateuchi Democracy Forum at JANM; CGV Cinemas; and additional cinemas in the Los Angeles area. A key highlight leading up to annual Asian Pacific Heritage Month activities, the Festival is produced by Visual Communications, the nation's premier Asian Pacific American media arts center, and enjoys broad support from cinema artists and audiences alike. Please visit their website for showtimes and tickets.
We hope to see you there! #IAmAsianAmerican (#IAAA) aims to register voters with a national concert event taking place in four cities with major Asian American populations: New York, Washington DC, Chicago, and Los Angeles. The free events will combine food, live music and speakers and on-the-ground engagement in each city — including a flagship red-carpet celebrity event at Los Angeles’s historic Wiltern Theater, which will also be live-streamed to the three other participating cities and locations across the country. The concert is free, but tickets are limited.
After the concert, there is the Night Market After Party, where there will be additional food and entertainment. KAC will be registering voters at the After Party, which is open to the public. Please come out and support KAC and #IAAA in our efforts to register voters for the upcoming elections! 6:00-10:00PM NIGHT MARKET AFTER PARTYRadio Korea Plaza 3700 Wilshire Blvd Additional Live Music Performances and Food Trucks Date: July 9-10, 2016
