KAC is thrilled to announce that we will be co-hosting the "Embrace LA: Diversity Though Art" community art exhibit with the City of Los Angeles & City Council, the Office of Council President Herb Wesson, the Latino Coalition of Los Angeles, and the William Grant Still Arts Center. The event offers youth artists in LA the opportunity to get exposure for their work and to win a monetary prize. Artists between the ages of 15 and 25 are welcome to submit pieces on the theme of diversity and their perspective of modern-day Los Angeles for the chance to be selected as one of 4 finalists to have their body of work featured in a standalone exhibit at EK Gallery. One winner will also be awarded a $2,000 monetary prize. The Embrace LA: Diversity Though Art exhibit will display works by some of these promising youth artists and featured community artists. Make sure to come out and join us on August 19th to support a community art exhibit that celebrates the diversity of LA through the eyes of up-and-coming and featured artists. The event will be open to the public, and refreshments will be served.
