"Proud board member of Korean American Coalition Los Angeles (KACLA) for over 5 years and very excited to introduce the new Executive Director Joon Bang who brings with him an infectious passion in serving the community. To know him is to want to help him with whatever cause he is working on.
There are a lot of exciting changes going on at KACLA and if you want to be part of serving the Korean American community in any capacity with me and the ever changing great board members, please reach out to one of us on how you can help."
"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy" - Martin Luther King Jr.
"KAC today is under the new leadership of Joon Young Bang, a man dedicated and passionate to bringing the KA community together in order to help those that need it within, as well as, empower the community to be able to help all our brothers and sisters of every race, religion, sexual orientation and culture. As a new board member, I am proud to join both some past and new members, on a team of like minded individuals with the same great cause.
If there was ever a time to mobilize, its now. If we, as a community want to make an impact and have a voice, first and foremost, we must come together. There’s a lot of us here in Southern California… about 400K to be exact. Representing all walks of life; Some old, some young… some on the left, some on the right. Some more financially better off than others, some born here and others who have recently joined us. We undoubtedly will have different viewpoints, needs and issues but the one common base denominator that we all share is that we are Korean Americans.
When any living organism is threatened, they instinctively fight or flight. I am choosing to fight! The worse thing anyone can do in these trying times is to be complacent. KAs and friends from all backgrounds... join me and support KAC."
