The KAC Model United Nations program (MUN) is an after-school program designed to help underserved high school students in the greater Koreatown area. MUN is intended to give inner-city youth insight into the world at large – geopolitics, international relations, and national and international politics – while honing everyday skills, all in an effort to engage students in a critical reflection of not only global but local issues.

The Korean American Coalition has a long history of leadership training: the National College Leadership Conference is now in its twenty-fifth year, while the KAC Summer College Internship Program is in its twenty-third year. The MUN program, not offered at any area high schools, is thereby designed as an ambitious leadership training program for Koreatown high school students.

Applications are accepted in August and September of each year. The MUN program runs from September to May.
