Diane Cho-Lee, VP Membership
Leasing Manager / Jamison Services, Inc.

Ms. Lee has specialized in commercial leasing since 1989. As Leasing Manager of Jamison Services, a company that owns over 100 commercial properties in Southern California, Ms. Lee oversees approximately one million square feet of commercial leasing space, and ensures maximum occupancy of rental units at all times. Ms. Lee’s expertise has contributed to Jamison Services’ success in achieving a high occupancy rate with a market capitalization of over $3 billion. Ms. Lee studied psychology at the University of Southern California. She is married to Jay Lee and has two beautiful children, Erica and Jeffrey.

Andrew Chung
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer / Pacific City Bank
Mr. Chung has served on the Board of KAC-LA since 2006. His tenure with Pacific City Bank, a full service commercial bank headquartered in Los Angeles with total assets of $500 million, began in October 2006. He received his M.B.A. from the University of Southern California and is a CPA licensed in the State of California.

Stephan Haah
President / Rockingham Asset Management, LLC
Mr. Haah’s firm specializes in international land development with offices in Los Angeles, Arizona, Mexico, and Vietnam. The company’s current portfolio represents diverse developments, from urban mixed-use projects to destination resorts. Currently, Rockingham’s major development is Liberty Cove, the largest real estate project in Mexico. Mr. Haah’s twenty-five years of experience in real estate investments and developments reflects his expertise in international real estate transactions, valuations, land entitlements, development analysis, investment strategies, and all aspects of real estate investments. Mr. Haah studied Urban Land Development at the University of California, Berkeley, and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), an honor bestowed by the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute in Chicago.

Alexander C. Kim
Deputy Director / Los Angeles Office of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger
Alexander C. Kim serves as Deputy Director to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger for the L.A. Office. He also covers Asian-American issues as well as the mainstream community in the Los Angeles and Orange County region. Mr. Kim also currently serves as an Advisor for the Community Advisory Commission under the County of Orange District Attorney Office, Tony Rackaukus. Previous to his appointment to the Governor’s Office, Alex served as Central Area Director and Liaison to the Asian Pacific Community for former Los Angeles Mayor James K. Hahn. His responsibilities included representing the Mayor in the Asian towns of L.A. as well as the Downtown/Hollywood communities. In addition to his work for KAC-LA, Mr. Kim is an active board member for Visual Communications, an organization that promotes intercultural understanding through the creation, presentation, preservation and support of Asian American independent media & film festivals.
  Mr. Kim attended U.C. Irvine, graduating with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Political Science. He is a Graduate Fellow of the Center of Asian Pacific Leadership at the University of Southern California under the Department of Social Work. He currently attends Pepperdine University part-time pursuing his M.B.A. and plans to graduate in November of 2009. Like Governor Schwarzenegger, he is also an avid weight-lifter and encourages all people to have a balanced routine of family, fitness, career and religion/spirituality.

Helen Kim, Chair

Ms. Kim’s practice focuses on Class Action Defense and Securities Litigation and Regulatory Enforcement. Ms. Kim’s clients include public and private companies, their directors, officers, and principal shareholders engaged in a wide range of complex commercial and securities litigations, including the defense of class actions, derivative suits, and regulatory investigations. Elected President of NAPABA (National Asian Pacific American Bar Association), Ms. Kim received her J.D. from Yale Law School, an M.M. in classical piano performance from The Juilliard School, and an A.B. from Harvard-Radcliffe Colleges.

Ms. Kim’s entire fifteen-year advertising and marketing career has been devoted to creating market opportunities for Fortune 500 Corporations, including PG&E, AIG, and Wells Fargo in the United States, as well as several major companies in Asia. She has developed multiple marketing disciplines in the areas of advertising, direct marketing, public relations, event planning, and community relations. Currently, Ms. Kim is an independent advertising and marketing consultant providing holistic marketing solutions to companies in Asia and the U.S. She is a graduate of Hofstra University with a B.B.A. in Marketing and Advertising.

Jennifer Kim

Since 1993, Ms. Kim has been in the securities and insurance business. She is a licensed insurance agent of John Hancock Life Insurance Company (California Insurance License #OB11807) and a licensed independent insurance broker. She is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and has completed the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), and Chartered Mutual Fund Counsler (CMFC) Education programs. Ms. Kim received her B.A. in Economics from UCLA.

Patrick Kim

KOAMEX is a wholesale business that distributes grocery and general merchandise from nine warehouse locations throughout Southern California. Aside from his work responsibilities, Mr. Kim serves as director of the college and young-adult ministry at Cornerstone Church in Harbor City, CA. Mr. Kim received his B.A. from U.C. Berkley in Economics, and is currently pursuing his M.B.A. at the Drucker School of Management at Claremont Graduate School through their executive program.

Duncan Lee

Mr. Lee is the owner and primary trial litigator of a three-attorney firm specializing in Civil Litigation and Complex Family Law Litigation. He also handles major personal injury and criminal defense cases, and served as an arbitrator of the Los Angeles Superior Court from 1992 to 1996. In addition, Mr. Lee is a Rare Coin Dealer/Professional Numismatist since 1977 and has authored various articles on rare coins and coin collecting. Mr. Lee is a founding member of the Korean American Coalition and served as Chairman of the KAC Board from 2004 to 2005. Mr. Lee received both his J.D. and B.A. from UCLA.

Jaime Lee
President / California Market Center
Ms. Lee is a new addition to the KAC-LA Board. She is President of the California Market Center, a three million square foot wholesale fashion and events complex in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles housing over 900 tenants carrying 10,000 product lines and holding nearly twenty industry trade shows each year. The California Market Center is owned by Jamison Services, Inc., where Ms. Lee has worked in real estate investment and management since 2003. Ms. Lee also serves on the LA Fashion District Business Improvement District’s Board of Directors. She received a B.A. in English from the University of Southern California and is currently pursuing a J.D. from USC's Gould School of Law.

William P. Min, VP of Community Affairs

Mr. Min has practiced criminal law for the past thirty-three years in the Los Angeles area. Mr. Min was appointed by Governor Jerry Brown to the California State Vocational Educational Advisory Committee and served as a member of the Los Angeles County Justice System Advisory Group. As President of the Korean American Foundation of Southern California, Mr. Min led a committee to have the first school in the Los Angeles Unified School District named after an Asian American, the Charles H. Kim Elementary School. Mr. Min has won several distinguished community service awards from the Lions Club, and was presented with the Melvin Jones Fellow Award for Dedicated Humanitarian Services, the Korean American Bar Association Award for Outstanding & Dedicated Service to the Community in 2005, and the Presidential Medal for Outstanding Service as a Civilian from the Republic of Korea in both 2000 and 2005.

Ekwan Rhow

Mr. Rhow specializes in litigating complex business disputes, including those involving securities, employment, and intellectual property issues. He has been named one of the Best Lawyers Under 40 by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association in 2005. Mr. Rhow received his B.A. from Stanford University and J.D. from Harvard Law School. He has successfully represented American, South Korean, and multi-national corporations in disputes involving contracts, securities, employment, intellectual property and other commercial matters.

Ricky Seung, VP Resource Development

Mr. Seung is the founder and President of Kousa International, one of the largest traders of paper products (including recovered paper and prime paper) in North America, trading in excess of 200,000 tons annually. Kousa International is also one of the largest global suppliers of wind towers, supplying steel tubular towers to most of the major wind turbine manufacturers around the world. In addition, Mr. Seung is the President of a freight forwarding company providing logistics services globally.
  Prior to founding Kousa International, Mr. Seung was a Vice President of JR&K Development and was responsible for the development of a 240 unit on-campus student housing development for the University of California, Riverside. Mr. Seung has previously been a Vice President of Castling Group, an e-business accelerator that has helped build leading Internet businesses; a member of CIBC World Markets’ Real Estate Investment Banking Group in New York City; and part of the mortgage-backed securities sales and trading group at Lehman Brothers. Mr. Seung earned a B.S. in Finance and Computer Science from Boston College, graduating cum laude.

Ms. Whang’s practice focuses on energy issues before the California Public Utilities Commission and other aspects of state and federal energy regulation. She earned her J.D. from UCLA School of Law and received a B.A. from Smith College.
