The Korean American Coalition is a non-profit, non-partisan community organization. Established in 1983 to promote the civic concerns, civil rights, and community affairs of the Korean American community through education, community organizing, leadership development, and coalition-building with diverse communities.
KAC has continued to cover redistricting in Los Angeles as the lawsuit filed by 5 residents against the city kicks back into gear with the court date set for August 5, 2014. Both Korean and English media outlets have covered Koreatown's struggle to be unified and represented in one City Council district.
